The people who help steward this place.
The Heart doesn’t run on one person. Three groups carry the load together: a small staff, a volunteer leadership team that helps oversee the church’s health, and a teaching team that develops and delivers what gets said on Sunday.
Staff
Our staff runs the day-to-day functions of the church, ensuring people are cared for and discipled, volunteers are organized, bills are paid, events are organized, and most importantly, that the mission of the church is served and shepherded.
Ministry Leadership Team
These leaders function as our church elders, guiding the church through big decisions, shepherding people, supporting staff, and managing our budget. They uphold the mission and vision of the Heart, keeping us grounded in Scripture and prayer.
Teaching Team
We believe in the power of communal engagement with Scripture and that hearing from a multitude of voices that reflect the various experiences and understanding within the body of Christ is really important for depth and accountability in our teaching. Therefore, we have a rotating team of four core teachers that teach on Sunday mornings and a broader team that helps shape the teaching ministries of this church.
One full-time staff member.
Our staff thoughtfully shapes the ministry initiatives that make the rest of this church possible. Right now, the Heart has one full-time staff member, working closely with the Ministry Leadership Team and the teaching team to keep things moving.
Ethan Hardin
Ethan serves as the Heart’s staff pastor — the one full-time set of hands keeping the day-to-day moving. He coordinates between the teaching team, the leadership team, and the staff side of things, and you’ll usually find him around on Sundays before service.
