Hope Pregnancy Center sends its appreciation and an update of how theHeart is helping to impact lives affected by unplanned pregnancies.
theHeart partners with Hope Pregnancy Center, a local non-profit agency based in Boone that works to empower women with unplanned pregnancies and helps them make informed choices. This has resulted in a long and meaningful relationship that has led to the reconciliation of people to God and each other through Christ's Love.
theHeart donates $2,400 annually through our budget to support Hope's mission. And for the past several years we have conducted a campaign to raise additional awareness and financial support for Hope. this past February we spent 3 weeks highlighting the life-changing work our friends at Hope Pregnancy Center are doing in the lives of women who face unplanned pregnancies. As part of that campaign, our church family had the privilege of hearing from Dallas who introduced us to her daughter Isabelle and shared their Story of Hope with us. We also committed to filling 200 baby bottles with coins, cash, or checks to help support the many programs Hope offers. Donations kept rolling in long after the campaign ended, and we raised a record $9,298.49.
Recently, Executive Director Brian Lowe shared this update with us:
Dear Friends at theHeart,
Thank you for continuing to be a monthly partner with us! We're grateful for your heart for both women and babies here in the High Country.
I wanted to reach out and let you know how your partnership with Hope is moving the ministry forward this year. Specifically, we are focusing our efforts on the following goals:
Providing Comprehensive Client Care by adding a licensed counselor and social worker to our staff team, a new ultrasound machine, and nurse training.
Implementing a Marketing and Advertising Campaign through social media and website SEO to better reach college students with unplanned pregnancies.
Establishing a new system of Donor Care to enhance the sustainability of the ministry.
Updating our Technology to increase staff productivity and tighten network security to protect sensitive client and donor data.
Assessing the Viability of opening a full day early care and education center to meet this specific need of our clients and the community at-large.
You're investment in making a difference. Together, in 2017, we accomplished the following achievements:
An overall 15% increase in clients
Awarded 3 scholarships at $5,700 each to area campus moms
Experienced a 53% decrease of abortions in Watauga County since 2007 (when Hope began providing ultrasounds)
We appreciate you!
